At Wissett Lodge we have converted Victorian stables into holiday accommodation; offering visitors a delightful and very comfortable rural haven from which to explore the Suffolk countryside.

The four holiday homes are set around a courtyard garden with colourful plants. Each unit has its' own garden table and chairs to enjoy al fresco eating. There is a shared barbeque. All four holiday homes have been awarded ETC 4 Stars.

Hartopp is named after a Lord of the Manor of which Wissett Lodge was part. This home sleeps two in a queensize (5ft) bed or twin 2ft 6in beds. The ensuite bathroom has a shower over the bath. [ Availability ]

Bloomsbury also sleeps two in a queensize bed. This is named after Duncan Grant and Vanessa Bell, members of the Bloomsbury Set who lived at Wissett Lodge in 1916.

Golden Miller is named after the famous 1930's race horse who won the Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Grand National; it is said that he was stabled here. There is a double bedroom (5ft bed) with ensuite bathroom (with shower over the bath), and a twin room (3ft beds) with ensuite shower room.

Fleetwood (with Disabled Access) is named after another Lord of the Manor, General Fleetwood whose wife was Oliver Cromwell's daughter Bridget. This home has disabled access. The double bedroom (5ft bed) has an ensuite wet room with shower and bath, and is suitable for wheelchair users. The twin bedroom (3ft beds) has an ensuite shower room. The English Tourism Council have awarded this unit their M2 (mobility) award. [ Availability ]

All properties have exposed beams retaining the warmth and character of the building. The comfortable living / dining areas are open plan with electric wood burner effect stove, colour TV with DVD player and mini music system. The well equipped kitchen areas have electric cooker, microwave, fridge and dishwasher.

There is a shared laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. This is also an ideal place for cleaning muddy and sandy boots.

All linen (duvets) and towels are provided.
Electricity and oil fired central heating are included.

No Smoking please.

Dogs must be kept on a lead in the courtyard.
