Gorgie City Farm is a free-entry city farm. It serves as a unique outdoor resource offering hands on educational and learning opportunities for all our visitors and offers educational tours and workshops for organised groups. We also promote community development, environmental sustainability and social inclusion by providing volunteering opportunities for all.
We have been tucked in between a busy railway line and one of Edinburgh’s main arterial roads for over 30 years, a little piece of the countryside right in the heart of Edinburgh. Gorgie City Farm is run as a working farm, our animals are bred and raised for food production , we bring the sounds, smells and sights of rural Scotland into the city.
There has never been any entry fee in the farm. A critical source of income is from donations of visitors and people supporting our social enterprises such as Pet Boarding, Holiday Clubs and Birthday Parties.
