Course overview
These degree courses have a mechanical engineering core with a specialism in the design and development of vehicles that operate off road. The courses cover everything from the principles of suspension design, vehicle mobility and properties of off highway terrains, to the electronic control of vehicles and ride and handling optimisation. You will cover not just theory and technical skills but the research and business techniques needed by professional engineers.

Industry figures have helped us to develop a comprehensive curriculum combining core engineering subjects with the latest industrial techniques. Much of our teaching is project led, and is designed to develop the professional skills that you will use as a graduate engineer.

Duration

5 years (full-time) including a one-year work placement. A four year programme is available for applicants with at least two years, full-time relevant work experience. Please contact Admissions for further information on this option.
