UK registrations of agricultural tractors increased dramatically in April 2019 reversing the trend of the first three months of the year.

According to figures by the Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA), 1606 new tractors were registered in April.

This is a 35.1% increase compared to April 2018, and is the highest April figure since 2012.

The number registered represents the highest monthly total since March 2018, when 1650 new tractors were registered.

At the end of 2018, an overall total of 12,102 tractors were registered in the UK, representing a 0.6% increase from the end of 2017.

As of April 2019, a total number of 12,254 tractors were registered in the UK, representing a 1.6% yearly increase.
