Conference to feature vet workshop

New to the free range conference this year will be a veterinary workshop laid on by the Ranger vets from Crowshall Veterinary Services. The workshop, which is sure to prove a popular feature, will give delegates the opportunity to learn more about some of the common health problems that can affect free range birds, as well as a chance to see some of Crowshall’s laboratory techniques in action.

Rob Milner(pictured), of conference sponsors Lohmann GB, told the Ranger it was all about aiming the day’s proceedings at ‘grass-roots’ producers.

“Building on the success of last year’s event, we are working closely with the BFREPA council to ensure the day is of interest to practical-minded producers,” said sales director Mr Milner, pictured right. “We know the veterinary demonstration will be a real hit with delegates and we are most grateful to the team from Crowshall for organising it.”

Mr Milner also promised that the speakers for the afternoon session would be selected to deliver topics producers would be keen to hear about.

“We have already approached the speakers and are finalising details,” he said. “We have a varied and interesting programme lined up.”

There is also good news for exhibitors and with a return to the conference centre at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, trade stands will be offered more space, allowing ample room to display equipment and products.

“Stoneleigh has always proved a popular venue with both delegates and exhibitors and the day has been planned to allow plenty of time for delegates to visit the stands,” said Mr Milner.
