Jim Paice, Minister of State for Agriculture and Food and MP for South East Cambridgeshire, officially opened Brown & Co new office in Ely on Friday, 11th March.

The new office is the eleventh location in the East of England for property and business consultants Brown & Co. The firm, which also has offices in Poland and the Caribbean, chose Ely because of existing and potential demand for its agricultural, residential and commercial property services.

Mr Paice said, "Given the difficulties in the wider economic climate it is excellent to see business growth like this in my constituency. Business growth is always positive for a city, and never more so than now, so I am delighted to officially open this new office right in the heart of our city."

Land Agent Chris Purllant, who has moved from Brown & Co’s Kings Lynn office to run the Ely operation, said:

"We are thrilled that Jim Paice found time in his busy schedule to perform our official opening ceremony. We already have a full complement of staff covering every aspect of our services from residential and commercial sales and lettings as well as land agency and agricultural business services. The reception we’re receiving from people in and around Ely is most encouraging."

The new office is located in the former NFU premises at Agriculture House, 14 Prickwillow Road, Ely, Cambridgeshire CB7 4NS.
