Newark Showground is busy preparing for an agricultural packed few days with the Midlands Machinery Show set to take place this week (23 and 24 November), hosting more than 300 exhibitors.

Organised by the Newark and Nottinghamshire Agricultural Society, the machinery show sells itself as being a major platform for small to medium-sized agricultural businesses to showcase their diverse range of machinery and innovation to those involved in the industry.

The two-day farming show will host a series of new product launches and technical seminars from the hundreds of exhibitors involved. Visitors to the show, which is returning for its third year, will also have access to a host of launches in the agricultural industry.

Show manager, George Taylor said: “With all the final preparations in place we are getting really excited to show off some of the newest and latest machinery available to the modern agricultural world by attracting the big-name brands.”

Zero energy water pumps

One of the latest technologies set to launch at this year’s show, is by water technology and rain water harvesting specialists, JRH Water Management. The water experts will be launching zero energy water pumps expected to create cost savings for the nation’s farmers.

In addition to the latest launches and seminars, a panel of experts will be attending the machinery show, for a breakfast debate to discuss how a soft or hard BREXIT may affect the agricultural industry.

The special breakfast debate, which is a first for the machinery show and will be streamed live via Facebook, is hosted and sponsored by property consultants, financial experts and lawyers from Streets Chartered Accountants, Langleys Solicitors, NatWest and Brown & Co.

George added: “Not only will we have some of the best technology at the show, but this is the first year for the breakfast debate, which will give an in-depth insight into the changes in the agricultural industry as well as offering valuable input from a number of influential leaders in the business world.”

The breakfast seminar will take place on Wednesday 23 November in the Lady Eastwood Building at Newark Showground with registration and breakfast served from 7.30am. The seminar will begin at 8am and last 45 minutes.
