New workshops have been set up to allow farmers and growers to develop their supervisory skills.

The AHDB funded workshops are aimed at those who are starting out on their agricultural career or have been recognised as potential supervisors of the future.

Starting from 8 November, the workshops will be held at venues across the country and led by training consultancy, Cedar Associates.

The workshops are free to attend and cover a broad range of topics from core management skills, to communication and change management.

AHDB External Industry Skills Development Manager, Tess Howe, who is responsible for setting up the workshops, said: “Agricultural and horticultural businesses now have the opportunity to improve the skills of workers who they see taking on a supervisory role in the future, or alternatively for those already working as supervisors who may benefit from training.

The workshops run from 9am – 5pm and will be held on the dates and locations included below:

8 November 2018 – Norwich, Norfolk

22 November 2018 – York

13 December 2018 – Lincolnshire
