Small farm in Shropshire sells for £500k at auction

A small farm located in a rural Shropshire hamlet sold for £500,000 at a public auction on Wednesday evening.

Brockton Farm, Brockton, near Much Wenlock was sold by auctioneers Halls on behalf of Mr Glyn Morris at The Feathers, Brockton to a buyer who had recently returned to the UK from North Carolina, USA.

The sale comprised an attractive four bedroomed stone house, stabling, an agricultural shed, a 1.73-acre paddock and 10 acres of fertile pasture and arable land.

Located in the hamlet of Brockton, the farm is situated at the northern end of the Corvedale, four miles from Much Wenlock and within easy driving distance of Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Telford and the M54 motorway.

The farmhouse, constructed in 1994, enjoys southerly views over unspoilt countryside and the property also included a double garage, a range of three stables and a five-bay cattle shed and barn.

The auction was conducted by Peter Willcock, chairman of Halls.
