A collection of stunning wildlife pictures are captured in this year’s Christmas cards by Fordingbridge-based charity The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT).

The six designs include Woodcock in a Winter Wonderland, The Ambush, Pairs of Greys in Frost, Robin, Brown Hare and Snipe - The Only Running Water, all with the greeting message ‘With Best Wishes for Christmas and the New Year’.

Acclaimed artists from across the country, including Owen Williams, Roger McPhail, Jason Lowes, Loon, Ashley Boon and Colin Woolf, are behind the stunning designs.

Last year, the GWCT sold a record-breaking 4,000 packs of cards and shop manager Beverley Mansbridge hopes to surpass that figure.

She said: “As expected, we’ve already sold hundreds of cards and sales continue to increase each year.

“They seem to be very popular as they are unique and people like to enjoy the beauty of the British countryside.”

Cards, sized at 121mm x 171mm, are sold in packs of ten costing £5.50, excluding the slightly bigger Ambush at 153mm x 200mm which costs £6.50 from GWCT's online shop.

All proceeds from the card sales go towards supporting the Trust’s crucial projects.
