Herdsperson wanted, Nr Carlisle, Cumbria
An established family run dairy farm with 200 holsteins and youngstock. We have a modern
dairy setup, looking for someone to join the team to help the cows thrive whilst living and
working on the beautiful Solway Coast.
Your Role
As the Herdsperson, you will:
• Support the management of the herd and ensure animal welfare is the top priority,
including treating & identifying illnesses.
• Milk to a high standard, ensuring top milk quality
• Cow feeding and monitoring
• Supporting with dry cow management, calving cows and colostrum protocols.
• A small amount of office data entry work on uniform agri. Training provided.
• Keeping the overall farm tidy, safe and enjoyable place to work
Your Requirements.
• A full UK Driving license and Proof of UK right to work
• Confidence in operating a telehandler, training provided.
• You will have a high attention to detail and a passion for livestock
• You will be friendly, organised, and keen to have positive working relationships with your
colleagues.
