Motivated and enthusiastic individual required for pig stockperson role. Specific duties will be mostly involved in the management of our pedigree herd of breeding sows. Modern facilities and equipment with an award winning team. We are a genetic nucleus selling breeding stock across the UK, Europe and further afield. This allows us to offer more detailed and interesting work than the average pig job! Previous winner of Farmers Weekly Pig Farmer of the Year and Indoor Producer of the Year.
Job role will include:
- Dry sow management
- Fertility management including AI and ultrasound pregnancy diagnosis
- Bedding, feeding and maintenance
- Data entry and recording of information
- Assistance with other areas of the farm as and when required
Candidates would preferably have experience of driving tele handlers, basic tractor skills and other farm machinery.
