We have a temporary job opportunity for a pig stockperson to work on an indoor pig farm in North Lincolnshire, DN15.
This fully integrated farming business has grown over the years, finishing all progeny for slaughter.
The temporary job is scheduled to begin in early November and is expected to last approximately six months.
After that, the assignment could be extended, and a permanent job could be offered to the right person.
You will work within a team on day-to-day pig duties, from breeding to finishing.
Duties include (depending on experience):
Serving
Farrowing
Checking pigs, injecting/drawing out sick pigs, checking feed and water supply
Keeping basic stock and medicine records
Bedding up and scraping out with a telehandler
Loading/sorting pigs
Pressure washing
Assist in maintaining the highest animal welfare and environmental standards
Salary from £30,000+ DOE
Plus:
Free accommodation if not local to DN15
Travel expenses
Daily subsistence expense (if applicable)
