A 1956 Ferguson TEF tractor which holds great sentimental value for a farming family has been stolen from Rutland.

John Fisher has used social media to ask the public for help in finding his grandfather's "second love".

The stolen tractor is a 1956 Ferguson TEF Tractor, with the registration number OFU 931, chassis number TEF479186.

Mr Fisher's post has already received over 100,000 shares on Facebook, with people from across the world helping.

He said: "After losing my grandmother 3 months ago, they were married for 68 years, some low life scum has broken into my grandfathers storage yard and stolen his tractor and transport trailer.

"Let’s make this tractor too hot to handle and hopefully reunite my granddad with the second love of his life".

The tractor was taken from the Uppingham area in Rutland between Saturday evening and Sunday morning (15-16 September).
