“Milking Made Easy” by Dairymaster
Dairymaster UK are due to hold the first in a series of Open Days showcasing their revolutionary Swiftflo Revolver Rotary Milking Parlour.
This open day will be held on the 14th March, 2007 from 10am to 5pm at J Lynch Farmers Ltd, High Milton Farm, Maybole, Ayrshire, KA19 8DG.
Billy Lynch of Ayrshire, Scotland who is the owner of the 50-point Swiftflo Revolver Rotary Parlour commented "dealing with Dairymaster from the first point of contact with the sales man, discussing options, support from the local dealer, professionalism and speed of installation has been eye opening." John McDonald, herd manager at High Milton farm comments that since installation in May 2005 they are already seeing real benefits in terms of yield improvements, teat end condition and general milk let down.
A milking demonstration of the 300 pedigree Holstein herd will take place at 2.30 pm and there will also be numerous other machinery demonstrations throughout the day.
The high yielding pedigree herd is milked twice a day through a 50-point Dairymaster Swiftflo Revolver rotary parlour which has features such as a Dairymaster automatic backing gate, which advances cows automatically after each batch of 10 cows have walked onto the revolving platform, Cow Motivator a device which encourages cows to back off the platform when milking has been completed, Auto Retention which retains cows on the platform until cows are fully milked out and eliminates the need for an operator at the "cups-off" position, Automatic Feeding which is linked to the Milk Manager software program and other innovative management tools such as ACR's, Milk Meters, Diversion Line, 5 way robotic drafting & automatic weighing, plus 16 out of parlour feeders.
