MAGIC MILLION YEARLING SALES.
Organizer’s of the Magic Millions yearling sales, say that AU$38 million was spent on the first two days with 3 colts making over one million dollars each.
Gai Waterhouse shelled out $2 million for a colt prepared by Coolmore Stud whcic was an Encosta de Lago-Surrealist colt.
British bloodstock agent Adrian Nichol, paid AU$1.1 million for a Redouts Choice-Twist My Heart colt.
Gai Waterhouse paid over AU$I million for a Redouts Choice-Strawberry Girl colt.
The Hayes team were out in force paying $1.2 million for a Redoute’s Choice colt, that was sold as a weanling for $620,000. Hayes will also have connections with the colt bought by the British bloodstock agent on day one for $1.1 million.
The sales were without doubt a buyers market as expected, will all lots being cleared of 1,300 yearlings
