BEFF EXPORTS A RECORD.

The market to South East Asia was at an 11 year record in 2008, despite the United States filling every cold store in South Korea with their beef and prostituting the market, every government building in South Korea chooses to serve Australian beef in their canteens as they prefer the quality and feel comfortable, that Australian beef is safe.

Beef exports for the emerging markets was:

Indonesia 33,018 tons

Singapore 8,061 tons

Malaysia 6,183 tons

Philippines 14,143 tons

Hong Kong 3,231 tons

China 2,682 tons

Taiwan 27,009 tons

Vietnam 761 tons

While the majority of this meat was frozen manufacturing meat, it has opened new doors for the Australian beef industry.
