2010 oilseed rape shipment leaves port
The first shipment of Oilseed rape harvested from this season’s crop to leave UK shores was exported from Agrilynk Silos, Kings Lynn port on Friday 30th July, by Dalmark Grain.
"We believe this is the first shipment of the 2010 rape crop to leave UK shores. All of the rape on the "MV POPRAD" has been sourced from farms within East Anglia and Lincolnshire - a truly regional service from farm to port," says John Martin, Trading Director for Dalmark Grain.
"We are delighted with the efficient turnaround that we have been able to offer our customers by quickly moving the harvested rape from farm as it came off the fields. We hope that by continuing to provide this high level of service, we can help reduce much of the pressure on storage space for growers as the remainder of the harvest comes in."
