5th Year of Operator Training Courses Sees More NRoSO Points
For the 5th year running, national agronomy and crop protection specialist Agrovista UK Limited is supporting farmers and sprayer operators by staging a series of winter training courses, enabling them to gain both NRoSO and BASIS points. These will take place between December and March and are at numerous locations throughout England and Scotland.
"To mark the 5th year of our involvement, we are supplementing this year's standard Slugs, Solids and Safety course with Optimising Application In A Changing World. This additional material will cover advances in spraying technology and grassweed control in the context of the loss of some important products such as IPU within the next couple of years, and is the result of a joint initiative between ourselves and Syngenta Crop Protection," said Agrovista's Chris Glover.
"We felt it important to not only run the AIC-based course on slugs and solid product formulations, but to address some of the other important topical issues that growers are about to face. Optimising Application In A Changing World features work by both companies, and incorporates some of the extensive Maidwell trials work Agrovista has produced," he added.
Syngenta Application Specialist, Tom Robinson, reports that company's pioneering application research and nozzle development initiatives have significantly helped growers achieve high levels of grass weed control with various herbicides. "The Agrovista training courses will further help sprayer operators to take advantage of these skills and techniques in practice, and manage grass weeds effectively in the future."
Due to the additional material, Agrovista is applying to NRoSO and BASIS so that attendees will gain more Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points than the standard Slugs, Solids and Safety course though the cost of attendance will be the same at £30+vat per person.
