A Cumbrian farmer from Kirkby Stephen has been airlifted to hospital after suffering serious injuries from cattle.
The 71-year-old male was crushed against a wall, sustaining head, chest, facial and abdomen injuries.
A spokesman from the Great North Air Ambulance service explained: "We received a call at 8am yesterday (Thursday, March 3) and the farmer was treated on the scene by our GNAAS doctor-led trauma team.
"He was flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesborough where the flight took 16 minutes.
"The farmer was handed over to the hospital in a serious, but stable, condition."
