Advice group helps farmers beat crunch
A confidential farming advice group is using the Bakewell Show to reach out to farmers who are being hit hard by the credit crunch.
The Farm Crisis Network has received 20 per cent more calls during the last year, with financial worries being farmers' number one problem.
Regional coordinator Graham Hinds said: "At a show like this we have obviously got an opportunity to raise our profile and chat to farmers about what we do.
"The number of calls we got increased with last year' foot and mouth and with the credit crunch it's gone up another 20 per cent.
