Agrovista boosts funds for Help the Heroes charity
Agrovista UK Ltd, the leading agronomy specialist, crop protection, arable and horticultural product distributor has boosted the funds for Help for Heroes.
The company, who chooses a different charity to support every year, has presented Help for Heroes, the chosen charity for 2011, with a cheque for ’12,000.
The money has been raised by staff members and customers from various events held during the year. The most ambitious was three simultaneous cycle rides from the companies Lymm depot, Lichfield and Essex, all finishing in Cambridge with a family fun day including a charity cricket game involving some of the major agrochemical manufacturers. Other events were held at the companies head office near Nottingham, and throughout the regions.
The cheque was presented by Agrovista’s James MacWilliam to Kevin Mitchell from the Help for Heroes at the companies head office.
The choice of charity is up to the Agrovista staff, with charities being nominated, then a short-list drawn up from which the final choice is made.
James Robertson, executive chairman said ’We are proud to support a charity during the year, and Help for Heroes is a very worthy cause. The staff make huge efforts in supporting charities, and we are delighted to have raised ’12,000 this year’
