Agrovista EcoRider winner annouced

Simon Bray of Monks Farm from Norton near Sittingbourne, has been presented with a brand new EcoRider that he won from entering a free draw at the National Fruit Show. The All terrain bike was a prize offered by Agrovista, the national agronomy and chemical distribution company, in a free to enter competition on their stands at Fruit Focus in July, and the National Fruit Show in October.

Mr Bray was presented with his prize at his farm near Sittingbourne. He comments "I was rather surprised to get a call saying I had won! It was something I had entered while at the National Fruit Show, but not given it anymore thought. It really made my day"

Mr Bray intends to use the Diesel Powered ATV for getting around his 100 acre farm, where he grows Cox, Bramley, Gala, Russetts and newly introduced Jazz and Braeburn apples as well as Conference pears. The Ecorider will also be used for towing trailers and general light farm duties.

Nick Rainsley, the Marketing Manager, for Agrovista says "I am really pleased for Simon. The EcoRider generated an awful lot of interest at the two shows with a lot of people entering the competition to try and win it. I am please Simon will be using the bike on and around the farm."

The bike was brought down from Elgin in Scotland where they are manufactured by Manocher Salek who is the Chief Executive of EcoRider. Mr Salek comments "I am really pleased that the Ecorider has gone to Simon and will be used the way that these ATVs are designed for. This is the state of the art British built working bike and through our association with Agrovista has helped us promote the bike to farmers and landowners that wouldn't have necessarily seen it.

The EcoRider is British built and is available in petrol, diesel or biofuel options and the diesel is capable of 120miles to the gallon. It is road legal and can be registered as an Agricultural Vehicle which allows it to run on red diesel giving a very cheap and economical work horse around the farm. The bike is capable of towing a quarter of a tonne and has a number of attachments that can be purchased to customise the bike for its working environment.=
