EXPORTS DOWN IN NOVEMBER.
Argentine exports in November experienced their first decrease in six years, falling to US$5.1 billion as a direct consequence of the drop in commodity prices.
This represents a 7% drop on the figures for the previous month, according to government figures released on Xmas eve.
For the first 11 months of 2008, the trade surplus in Argentina stands at US$12.3 billion, which is higher than the full year of 2007, where the surplus was US$11.07 billion.
The drop in beef exports, was also a contributing factor besides the drop in the price of soy and wheat.
