HORSE FLU FREE.

The recent outbreaks of horse flu in Australia, are now a thing of the past as the country gets the all clear from the World Organization of Animal Health.

The Queensland Minister of Primary Industries and Fisheries Tim Mulhern, says it has cost more than AU$40 million to eradicate the disease.

There have been 68,000 horses vaccinated since 2007.

There are still several billion dollar law suits against the government, from members of the bloodstock and horse racing industry.

There has now been a time lapse of 12 months since the last reported case.
