Australia-Pork trade now in good shape.
AUSTRALIA.
PORK TRADE GOOD.
The recent Exodus from the pig farming industry appears to be over, in Australia as pork prices for carcass weight are now US$300c/kg to 315c/kg,and the price of food is down to a realistic level.
The government of Australia for the first time, is allowing the import of brewers grain from the United States into the country, which will also be a boost to cattle feed lots and pig farmers.
The low Australia dollar has halted the imports of cheap Canadian and Polish pork and ham into he country,
The pig farmers who have come out of the worse period in living memory, are now in a position to continue, unfortunately many fell by the wayside in the last two years.
