BASC Young Shots offered game shooting opportunities in the North of England

BASC Young Shots are being offered two supervised opportunities to shoot game in the North of England next season. They can chose between driven days to be held near Doncaster, South Yorkshire, and Hexham, Northumberland. Mentors will be provided by BASC to ensure all levels of experience are catered for.

The days, which are free of charge, are open to all BASC Young Shots aged between nine and 18 years old who hold a shotgun certificate and have attended at least one BASC Young Shots activity day. There are spaces for eight guns on each day. Each day’s shooting will finish with a meal.

Phil Pugh, BASC’s Northern England director, said: "This is a wonderful opportunity for Young Shots to shoot game. We are very grateful to Euroguns Doncaster (www.euroguns.co.uk) and John Snowdon of Greenlee (www.greenleedeer.co.uk) who have made these opportunities possible as part of our ongoing commitment to the next generation of shooters."

Young Shots who would like to attend but have not attended a Young Shots activity day can book but will need to attend an activity day before the start of the season.

Places are still available for Castle Howard, North Yorkshire, on 22nd May; Lowther Estate, Cumbria, on 5th June; Euroguns, Doncaster, on 10th July and Abbeystead, Lancashire, on 17th July. The cost is £15 per Young Shot which covers cartridges, clays etc. To book, contact Jean Pugh on 01200 445046 or visit http://www.basc.org.uk/en/in-your-area/northern/ for more information and to download a booking form.
