The British Protected Ornamentals Association, formerly the British Bedding & Pot Plant Association, will launch its new look next week as it aims to establish itself as the specialist organisation for all protected ornamental plant growers.
The association, which is also a specialist branch of the NFU, will officially unveil its new name and logo at the Four Oaks Trade Show in Macclesfield on Tuesday.
The re-branding reflects BPOA's emphasis on making its many membership benefits available to other groups and growers of protected ornamental plants, building on its long experience and successes representing the specialist interests of bedding and pot-plant growers.
BPOA chairman Philip Austen said: "Our new strapline 'Growing Together' reflects the importance BPOA places on both membership ideas and involvement. Our new look also raises the profile of the association's strength and depth through its links with the NFU.
"The BPOA has a long history of influence in the horticultural industry and at government level. Modernising the image of the association reflects the up-to-date involvement needed in any ever-changing business environment."
The launch will be followed by a new website where members can access all the association's resources, including detailed technical information and details of planned BPOA marketing initiatives to increase sales.
