BEEF EXPORTS 2.9 MILLION TONS BY 2017.
Beef exports from Brazil are expected to reach 2.9 million tons by 2017, according to government figures.This is an increase of 32pc on the current level.
Grazing land will decrease by 17 million hectares for cattle, as more cattle are finished in feedlots, according to the Department of Agriculture.
The cattle herd will rise from 169.7 million today, to 183 million by 2017 the government are projecting.
