Bridleway Claim in Derbyshire Rejected

A claim to add a bridleway to the Definitive Map has been rejected by a Government Inspector.

The case for the bridleway at Hayfield was made by Derbyshire County Council and was supported by evidence from 142 User Evidence Forms claiming to have used the route over many years.

Following a public inquiry where many users were cross examined by Michael Wood of ET Landnet, the Inspector concluded that the bridleway should not be recognised.

Michael Wood said "We are particularly pleased to have won this case as we were instructed only 2 weeks before the inquiry commenced. Our client had done an excellent job in preparing the paperwork."
