Bright scope for investment in Pakistan agri sector

Federal Minister for Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Prince Muhammad Issa Jan Baloch has said Pakistan has bright scope for investment in agriculture sector as the government is providing all facilities to encourage the foreign investment.

He expressed these views in a meeting with Jordan ambassador Dr Saleh Ahmed Al Jawarneh, who called on him here on Wednesday.

The ambassador desired that Jordan will import mango from Pakistan and for the purpose both the counties will sign MoU. The Food Minister was also invited Jordan for this purpose. Both the countries should enhance trade, he added.

The Food Minister said the steering committee should be called which was constituted for cooperation in agricultural policy plant protection, scientific research and technology transfer.

On the occasion, the minister both the countries have old and brotherly relations which should grow with the passage of time. We should take steps for the promotion of agriculture sector which will cause alleviation in poverty.


The minister informed that Pakistan government has launched mega projects for the promotion of livestock and upgrade water management system.
