British pig farmers good, but not good enough CIWF

An undercover investigation into pig welfare standards across Europe has revealed British pigs are better off than their European counterparts, but added more must be done to improve their living conditions.

The investigation, carried out by Compassion in World Farming, visited 60 farms across Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK.

"In general the situation of the pigs was very alike in all countries we visited," said the CIWF investigator.
