Cardigan market opens for business
THE first farmers' market to be held in Cardigan has been officially opened by the Mayor of Cardigan Linda Grace.It is one of four established in Ceredigion by the Ceredigion Producer Support Service, an Objective One funded project managed by enterprise agency, Antur Teifi in partnership with the Welsh Development Agency and Ceredigion County Council.
Over 20 stalls producers participated, selling a wide range of products from bread and cakes to organic meat and vegetables. Jan Fenner, market co-ordinator said: `At the moment the market will run as a pilot scheme to gauge the interest."
The market will be held the first Thursday in every month between 10am and 2pm in the Pendre car park.
