Cattle industry rejects report on carbon levy

Livestock producers are calling on the government to recognise the good environmental work they do, saying a new report just focuses on the sector’s emissions.

The report from the environmental and economic think-tank, the Australia Institute, says a carbon levy should be imposed on farming, rather than including agriculture in an emissions trading scheme.
