Caussade Semences, has appointed Mark Prynne to the new role of UK Manager. This is a further development of the French-based plant breeding cooperative’s planned growth here, spearheaded by its Duo Maize varieties.
After his first degree in biological sciences from Sheffield University, Mark gained a Masters in Plant Breeding and Biotechnology from John Innes Centre, University of East Anglia Norwich.
Mark has an extensive background in plant breeding of forage legumes, brassicas and sugar beet and has worked in the UK and overseas as a plant breeder.
’I have returned to the UK from New Zealand, where I worked for Agriseeds Ltd as a breeder, and this newly-created role at Caussade in the UK is an exciting challenge for me.
’I am driven by a passion for the seed industry and variety development, so the Caussade approach - as seen in the their Duo Maize concept - sits very well with my interests.’
