Charities benefit from NFU events
Over £2,800 has been donated to four Welsh charities, thanks to two separate charity events organised recently by Clwyd NFU Cymru members.
The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI), Nightingale House, the MS Society and Air Ambulance Wales have all received donations following on from the very successful Clwyd NFU Cymru County Dinner held recently at the Beaufort Park Hotel, Flintshire, and a fun run around Bangor on Dee racecourse.
The fun run, 100 miles for 100 years, was organised to celebrate 100 years of NFU Cymru’s existence in Clwyd. The organisers’ target of getting a total of 100 miles covered was reached and even exceeded by 10 miles. Richard Tomlinson, Clwyd NFU Cymru County President said, "The centenary birthday was a very special milestone and our members wanted to organise an event, which the whole family could enjoy, while highlighting the good work the Union had done for agriculture in Wales over the last one hundred years.
"I must say a big thank you to everyone who made the recent events successful and to those who gave so generously, especially to Beaufort Park Hotel who donated £300."
