The classification visit took place last week and saw three more of Cogent's top Holstein sires achieve the elite score of EX94. Picston Shaker, Cogent Fastnet and Woodmarsh Conformer have reached this upper echelon to join renowned bulls such as Aquila Patron Lucente and Cogent Dalton.
"This is particularly exciting news for 'new kid on the block' Woodmarsh Conformer," says Innes Drummond, Cogent's stud manager. "Only last month, we advised he would be a hot prospect to watch. Coupled with excellent results in May's proof run, this classification score has confirmed that our instincts were correct."
Scores of EX95 for Body Capacity and Dairy Character, and EX93 for Legs and Feet, reflect the bull's ability to transmit power and strength alongside breed-leading production."
Other bulls classified on the day included Scotchhills Patriot and Dalbytop Phil at EX93, Cogent Summit at EX92 and another exciting new bull, Galaxy Speed, at EX91.
