Countrywide to speak at Bioenergy 2007
Countrywide director and energy industry expert Sir Ben Gill CBE will be speaking at Bioenergy 2007, the annual conference for the REA (Renewable Energy Association on 20-21 September 2007 in Oxford.
The conference, made all the more topical following last week's leaked Government memo revealing that Britain will miss the 20 per cent EU target for renewable energy will address issues such as sustainability, power generation, UK and EU policy development and the fuel versus food debate. Countrywide's Sir Ben Gill, who is a past Chairman of the Government's Biomass Task Force, will talk on the subject of Biomass and specifically, developing a supply chain for renewable fuels.
"The Governmental Biomass Task Force identified the lack of any joined up supply chain as a major barrier to both consumer confidence and take up of renewable energy in general and biomass specifically," comments Sir Ben. "At Bioenergy this year, I will be looking more closely at the issues relating to this and talking too about how Countrywide is one organization actively seeking guaranteed solutions for its customers with regard to all elements of the supply chain, from the boiler manufacturer/ installer for example, to the source of the renewable fuel itself, together with a signposting service for all the best customer advice," Sir Ben adds.
