Dairy UK appoints new environment manager
Dairy UK has promoted Richard Warren, previously the organisation’s Environment Executive, to the post of Environment Manager.
Commenting on the appointment, Policy Director Peter Dawson said: ’The dairy industry, and Dairy UK in particular, takes its environmental responsibilities very seriously. The position of Environment Manager is therefore a key appointment within Dairy UK and we are delighted that Richard had demonstrated the knowledge, skills and leadership necessary to take the industry forward in this important area.’
Richard joined Dairy UK in November 2010, since when he has been working on environment and climate change issues. Richard said: ’The dairy industry already has a long track record of achievements on environmental issues. Many of our initiatives have been groundbreaking and have set the benchmark for other sectors to aspire to. But we cannot be complacent and I am looking forward to maintaining the momentum established by my predecessors and developing new opportunities for further progress.’
