EBLEX issues an open invitation
LIVESTOCK farmers in the Norfolk area are being invited to join Board members and staff of the English Beef and Lamb Executive (EBLEX) for a farm walk and briefing.
The event, on Monday November 27, will include cattle and sheep handling demonstrations, a butchery demonstration highlighting the difference between lean and fat carcases and an overview of EBLEX's marketing strategy and work in the foodservice sector. Also included in the day is a visit to the beef unit at Paul Rackham Ltd near Norwich to include a talk from world leading cattle handling systems expert Miriam Parker.
The open meeting will start at 2.15pm at the International League for the Protection of Horses at Snetterton and is expected to finish at 7.00pm. It is free of charge and hot beef rolls and refreshments will be provided.
Michael Richardson, EBLEX Regional Manager for the Eastern Region, said: "These meetings are extremely useful for both our levy payers and for EBLEX as they give us a chance to swap information and ideas face to face."
Levy payers should register for their free place by phoning 0870 242 1394 email: dianen@eblex.org.uk by Friday 24 November.
