Embracing farming lifestyle

Five years ago he was an Auckland chef. Now he is a Stratford farm worker.

His wife, Jess, is mum to their five-month-old daughter Grace and a part-time hair dresser.

The pair have embraced the farming lifestyle totally with Sean now chairman and Jess secretary of the Eltham Young Farmers' Club.

"I love it," says Sean.

"It's a good way to make friends. We didn't have too many when we joined, now we have a big range. And we meet people through the Pihama club as well," he said.

Jess secured a part-time job through another YFC member.

"One Pihama girl owns a salon. I work casually for her," she said.
