Everything Goes at the Manydown Dispersal Auction

Just under half a million pounds went under the hammer at Manydown Farm near Basingstoke last week. Joint auctioneers BCM Bays Curry McCowen and Simmonds & Sons were instructed to sell the machinery & equipment on behalf of The Manydown Company, as a result of the decision to cease farming in-hand.

BCM report that there was very strong trade in the machinery and equipment offered at the dispersal sale on Wednesday 28th October 2009. Whilst nearly 650 lots went under the hammer, the main items sold were as follows:

2008 JCB Fastrac tractor at £50,200; 2002 New Holland CX 820 combine at £47,000; two 2009 T6080 New Holland tractors at £42,200 and £41,000; 2007 T7060 New Holland tractor at £29,000; 2007 526 JCB Loadall at £21,800; 2005 530 JCB Loadall at £21,000; Massey Ferguson 185 series II large baler at £20,400; 2001 John Deere 6620 tractor at £17,000; 2004 24m Knight demount sprayer at £7,700; 24m Kongskilde Wingjet S4042 fertiliser applicator at £7,400; Kuhn 7 furrow semi-mounted plough at £7,200; 2002 Rolland trailer at £6,000; 12m Twose hydraulic folding roller at £5,500; 2004 7.6m Kuhn GF 7601 tedder at £5,100; Simba SBL100 bale shredder at £5,000; Bailey twin axle 11t Monocoque grain trailer at £5,500; 2003 Simba 4m Lex folding discs at £4,300.
