Farm Investment Grant to be at the forefront for Waterford Farmers at AGM
Chairman is calling for all Waterford Farmers to attend the AGMs this year while he believes the pulling of the investment grant will feature highly on proceedings.
The Annual Meetings of all branches of the Waterford Irish Farmers' Association (IFA) are to take place this month amid much talk of closure of the Farm Investment Grant, according to Waterford IFA chairman Michael Keane.
Mr Keane said that the closure since the beginning of November was the most important issues of the AGMs around the county from speaking to fellow farmers in the area.
The Waterford Chairman also said that there had been significant decrease in the numbers of dairy farmers leaving the business since prices have gone up since last year.
