The NFU has teamed up with Britains Farm Toys to offer budding reporters £200 worth of farm toys and tractors.
Most kids will be heading back to the classroom this week, many with fond memories of a fun filled day out at an open farm. So in order to beat the back to school blues, the NFU wants pupils in the region to write a report of their visit to a farm in no more than 200 words.
If their entry is chosen as the number one in the North West, the NFU will send them a whole new miniature farm of their own!
NFU’s North West Chairman, Jonathan Hewitt, who runs his own open farm attraction at Dunham Massey near Altrincham in Cheshire, said: "Whether it is your first visit or you’ve seen lots of different farms we’d love to hear from you. Tell us all about the things you saw, touched or even smelt. Get scribbling your thoughts and make sure you get your entries into us by 30th September 2010."
