Fuel costs hit cattle licks

The Northern Territory Cattlemen's Association says escalating fuel prices are also pushing up the price of supplementary feed.

Lick blocks, which are large blocks of condensed nutrients, are given to cattle all year round to help them gain weight.

But, Rohan Sullivan from the Katherine branch says because they contain by-products from the oil industry they're becoming too costly.
