FUW county officer returns to her roots
The new Farmers’ Union of Wales Cowbridge-based county executive officer Helun (correct spelling) Griffiths has returned to her roots in the Vale of Glamorgan.
She was previously a charitable trust manager in Somerset, working with a board of members and trustees to raise educational standards in an area of considerable rural and urban deprivation.
She worked extensively with local and national government members and ministers and set up the first town schools educational trust.
She is a former member of Maendy Young Farmers Club and still enjoys riding her horse, clay shooting and walking her dogs.
She succeeds Adrian Evans who has taken up the union’s vacant Ceredigion county executive officer post based at Aberaeron.
