BASIS qualified visitors to the Metaldehyde Stewardship Group (MSG) stand at Cereals 2011 have the chance to earn four Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points at the upcoming event.
As part of the latest initiative from the MSG to safeguard the future of metaldehyde slug pellets, a total of four accreditation points will be available in return for correctly completing a short questionnaire.
’This year’s theme is Pelleting Precision,’ explains the MSG’s Steve Higginbotham. ’And in particular we’ll be looking at maximum dose rates and making grams of active ingredient more meaningful for applications made in kg per hectare.
’There will also be the chance to consider applicator accuracy and get up close to some quad bike mounted spinning disc pelleters to identify faults in the set-up,’ he adds.
Four BASIS CPD points are available as follows: Crop Protection x1; Environment x1 and Application Practice x2.
MSG will be located on stand D435 at Cereals 2011.
