Government responds to Bansback review of National Fallen Stock Scheme and Company

Defra today published its response to the independent review of the National Fallen Stock Scheme and Company carried out last year by Bob Bansback.

Ben Bradshaw, Minister for Animal Health and Welfare, said: "The Bansback report highlighted the excellent work of the National Fallen Stock Scheme and made a number of important recommendations about its future.

"Both myself and ministerial colleagues from across the UK are keen to continue the fruitful working relationship that the Government enjoys with the National Fallen Stock Company. I have therefore invited Michael Seals, chairman of the National Fallen Stock Company, to meet me to discuss how we can continue to move forward together and deliver this important service to UK farmers."
