How it works?

As the crop passes through the Grain Brain it flows over a weighing plate (A). A loadcell is mounted behind the plate (B) which measures the true weight of the crop on the plate. This weight is then totalised over the whole field and displayed on a digital indicator in the Combine harvester cab.

With the success of the Grain Brain in the UK, Griffith Elder & Co Ltd is now exporting these systems in large numbers to Australia and have tailored them to meet with the Australian Farmers requirements.

The Grain Brain system can be fitted to a range of various Combine Harvesters.

Grain Brain Type GB1

(An on-combine grain weigher with moisture correction and including a "Brainbox" indicator in the cab. Supplied with full instructions for fitting on the machinery at your farm)

Grain Brain Type GB2

(As model GB1 but incorporating speed and area measurement to give a direct readout of field yield.)

Grain Brain Type GB3

(As model GB2 but incorporating a printer to provide a printout giving field yield, date and time).
