Free Trade Agreement.
The government of Honduras and he government of Panama had their newly endorsed FTA go into effect on Friday.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, say that the agreement will allow free trade between the countries for many products including 400 tons of beef and 100 tons of pork, along with other farm items such as milk and cheese.
Panamanian President Martin Torrijos signed the agreement with his counter part President Manuel Zelaya of Honduras, in June, to take effect on 9 January 2009.
While Honduras is the main supplier of agricultural products to Panama, in return Panama is exporting 17% of all exports to Honduras.
